maybe I am too picky and idealist on selecting my third carrying handgun, but I do have my requirements:
1.No MIM at(even colt and STI/SVI has only 2 MIM parts,WilsonCombat has some MIM parts on some non-critical portion).I need maximized reliability.
2.All Stainless, carrying gun could be in very severe condition, must be corrosion-free or less change to rust.
3.light and small,fully dehorned,easy to carry daily.
4.Night Sights, both of front sight and rear sight.
5.45ACP
6.no production or factory pistol,high-end custom 1911's only.
for the time being,please don't consider pricing,budget is not problem:dope: .
right now I only know 2 choices that meet my requirements:
1.LesBaer Concept VIII
2.Ed Brown Executive Carry
3.Ed Brown Kobra Carry

The Kobra Carry is the way to go...once you try that bobbed grip you'll be sold. Plus you have compact overall size, fullsize mags and great looks.

A few thoughts:

1) You mention that you do not want a production pistol, but your list only has production guns on it. Why not have a good smith build you a gun the EXACT way you want it built?

2) Stainless is not that good of a choice for corrosion resistance as the stainless alloys used in guns do not have a very high percentage of chromium, so a finish is in order. I suggest either hard chrome if you want a silver finish or EGW's E-Treat if you want a black finish. Both finishes will work well. E-Treat, in my experience, is the current champion.

3) You might want to consider building a gun with a Commander slide on an Officer's ACP frame or a Government Model slide on an Officer's ACP frame. My personal preference is for a bobtailed five-inch gun as the extra weight is minimal over the Commander-sized guns and the gun is more reliable.

Here is my answer:

I voted for "none of the above".

I'd suggest a Les Baer Stinger.

His take on a Colt CCO. 4.25" (Commander length) slide on an Officers Model Frame. Best carrygun made, IMO.

Here's mine, in hard chrome, but you can get them in stainless too:

For me it's a Smith & Wesson Scandium Commander that I had Bobtailed. Following right behind the S&W is my pocket gun, a Kimber Ultra Carry II. Both .45 ACP.
