i remember when you were able to sell gun parts on ebay. i was selling amd65 kits and having them drop shipped from centerfire systems. i think i was selling them for $135 and buying them for $90 shipped, clearing around $35 a pop. the money was pretty steady, i was easily selling 2,3 a day and sometimes 5 or 6.

i was also selling K31 muzzle protectors and slings, having them drop shipped from a dealer and making $12 a pop on them.

this was the same time that i had my C&R license so i was getting discounts with brownells, when ebay had the free listing days or .05 to list i would list a bunch of stuff. i was also selling on gunbroker where the listings were free. i would sell triggers, stocks, scopes, grips, ar parts, etc. anything where my profit margin was decent. this was the time that mccormick just came out with their trigger set for the AR and i was selling them pretty briskly.

if it wasn't for ebay shutting down gun parts i's probably be still doing it. now i sell plants that make me 100% profit because they just keep replentishing themselves. made over $2500 profit since the summer of 2009.

just wondering how you guys make your mad money?

Bergmen Engineering, Inc. patented motorcycle accessory. About 1,000 of them in the field at $25.00 per unit profit. I don't do anything, just bill the distributor for each unit he buys.

I remove viruses from college students' laptops, fix roof leaks, install fences, drywall repair, and other various odd jobs.

I previously worked at a computer store. We were able to do online training from a few hardware manufacturers and the largest software company. Each training got you points that could be redeemed for prizes, usually free shipping. I can't count how much stuff I sold on eBay at a good price for the buyer and straight profit for me. I usually did the training while on the clock. I funded a large chunk of my project car doing that.

Funny, I wanted to do much the same thing, I guess since I have an FFL my mistake was asking the ATF if it would be OK for me to do what you did- Their answer was NO

Selling gun parts doesn't require an FFL.

What exactly did you ask ATF?:scrutiny:

RC Airplanes. Been building and flying them since the 70's. Through time I've made great friends and contacts in Europe, Australia and Canada. I'm one of the go-to guys when someone wants to do a house cleaning or fleet reduction. I used to just use that money to buy more models but finally got at least one of everything I want. Now I sell when I want another gun. Doing some deals right now to finace an AR.

I'm an electrician, and if you've ever paid an electrician for some sidework, you know they make decent money. ;)

Machine out front sight adjusting tools for the 91/30, M38, M44, T53 Mosin Nagant rifles. Right now it's paying the bills while my wife's trying to get her disability through, otherwise I'd have close to 5k in the bank for my gun addiction...

I'm a mechanic. I do side jobs all the time. I also buy broken cars for $300, fix them, and sell them for around $2,000-2,500.
