Mine was today! We called it the "Antinationals". This was for those of us who didn't shoot in the nationals today. We violated all of the rules of IDPA every opportunity we had! We used hicap mags in celebration of the AWB sunset, and engaged targets in no praticular order with as many rounds as we liked. One stage was named "Thank you John Kerry". We started in the middle of seven threat targets, at the buzzer we ran about 10yds to a locked guncase, unlocked the case and retreived our magazines and a gun lock key. We then ran about 20 yds to our gun and unlocked the gunlock, loaded and engaged the seven targets. Logic was, a locked gun is a safe gun, (per John Kerry) On another stage we started at 25yds and engaged a half scale metal popper with two rounds. Then we ran to the 50yd station and did it again, then the 75yd and finally the 100yd line. On each station you fired till you got two hits, then shot the 20yd stop plate. You continued to engage till you got two hits at each station or till you ran out of ammo! Kinda wild, but sure was fun!!

NH TAG (Taticial Arts Group) is evil.:)

The best stage I've shot was at this years New Hampshire Championships in Nashua NH.

The stage consisted a of a series of low light hall ways and closets that had pop-out targets and two trip wires that set off a loud siren(s) and flashing lights.

It went like this:

Enter through doorway, turn either left or right (left is a dead end).

Follow hall way to end, without stepping on trip wire #1, turn left.

A closet is right in front of you a long hall way to the left, check out closet shoot bad guy (I think).

Turn left walk down 2nd hall way shoot or don't shoot pop out targets while not stepping on 2nd trip wire (I did) turn right though door way.

The targets pop out from the wall just a few feet in front of you they are fast and loud. I had no idea that the targets would pop out, it was very shocking.

The trip wires set off both a loud siren and flashing lights in an enclosed space. It was a "trip"

Start to enter small room shoot or don't shoot other pop out targets (several feet away).

It was cool because while you were looking for trip wires the targets popped out infront of you like someone coming in from a side room. You needed to make a split second decision as to whether they were friend or foe. If you took to long you were dead (penalty), if you tripped a wire you were dead (penalty).

It was with out a doubt the best stage I've ever shot.

Not IDPA but IPSC. It started off with the shooter grilling on a gas grill. It was as that moment that the griller was attacked by multiple assailants. By closing the grill and drawing on the outside targets you started several moving targets in the fake house. Engage outside targets and then enter and clear the house. Something like 11 or 13 tangos. Me and My P225 did just fine. :D

All that was going through my head was if I did something to piss off 13 or so folks I figure I would be grilling with an "assault rifle" or something.

All in all a very fun stage.

motorep,
I have already been contacted by his holiness in the Ozarks. All I have to do for penitence is say 20 "Hail Wilsons" while stroking a CQB. I got off easy as I only shot the stage, I didn't run it. If Bill had known I shot it with a Glock------------who knows what might have happened! Might have even started another inquisition!!
jdkelley, cslinger,
Those stages sound like a hoot! I wish our clubs around here had more eloborate shoot houses.
Every once in a while, it's kinda fun throwing out all the rules! Haven't tried IPSC yet. Just haven't gotten around to it. Have to give it a try one of these day. Thanks, guys. I appreciate the responses.

Did a fun IDPA stage a few weeks ago - four targets, all close together. Lead target is ~3 feet from you, others are a few feet behind. A few feet behind that is a no-shoot on a swinger. You start with your hands in the air and a large piece of 2x4 propped against your chest - that represents the gun that the lead BG is holding on you. On the beep, you knock the "gun" away (which activates the swinger) and engage the first target from retention, then the other targets in any order, all while moving to cover. Very fun, very fast - my time was something like 3.5 seconds clean.

Funny thing was, I had to reshoot the stage due to a timer malfunction. After the second time, the RO was all ready to make me reshoot it again, because "No one could have shot it that fast - the timer must have screwed up again!" We had a good laugh about that.

This is a fun one I came up with when I designed the COF this summer:
Pizza delivery:
Start out in car,at buzzer get out with pizza box (weighted)in hand.Go to rear of car throw box at T1(knocking him over:if not draw and shoot him)then shoot t 2 and 3 using trunk of car as cover..move to front of car, using hood as cover shoot remaining targets....
the therory was when you threw the pizza box,you did it with suce force that the BG fell and broke his neck:D
The most difficult stage I ever shot was this summer at Cortland:it was the first stage we shot(stage 10 I think)It was hard for me because I can't kneel....although I did...we shot one guy through an opened car window, while kneeling:got up,shot another while retreating to rear of car:knelt again, shot a plate, went to other side of car(it's at this point that I fell onto my side, luckily I kept the gun pointed where it shoud've been)shot another guy,go prone, shoot 2 more guys...or something like that...anyway,my falling actually helped me,because I couldn't figure out how was going to go prone while holding my gun:D
That match had a lot of cool stages....

Good one Tony! Brings flashbacks of a state match where you had to go horrizional and shoot with the gun in a horrizional position under a barricade at pepper poppers.
