More info about the Century builds. Century used new barrels on all of their Yugos, they don't have the shot out bores that a lot of the kit guns had.

Who made the Century barrels that they used for there builds?

I have heard mostly bad things abput CIA Builds. Why is there Yugo build OK?
You should use the search feature on your various forums. Both of these questions have been answered many times.

Green Mountain supplies Century the barrels.

Century has learned it's lessons about building with in-house monkeys and now contracts the building out to competent builders. The company who does the Yugos for them is very good.

99% of the new topics on this site could be anwsered by the search option. This is a thread about CAI Yugo's. I just asked a simple question.

I do thank you for the anwser. I have discovered that a lot of information obout firtearms made and imported by CAI and similar outfits has a tendancy to change.

Is CAI still making the Yugo underfolders? I saw one at a gun show that had a $650 on it and cliamed to be new.

After reading this thread and similar Yugo underfolder threads I have seen two complaints stand out.

1.AK sights
2.The folding stock.

The stock makes it hard to get a good sight picture. I dont want to put some huge rail on an AK. Ultimak has a top rail that seems good for mounting a small red dot.

What is the general opinion of the Ultimak top rail?

What optic/red dot would you use on the Yougo underfolder?

AK sights are good for minute-of-man at 200m (what they were designed for). People complain because they want laser beam accuracy out of them, but the Kalashnikov isn't designed for that . .

Underfolding stocks suck, in my most humble opinion. They were technologically available at the time of their design, but you see now what the Russians are using. If you want a folding stock in a Yugo AK, I recommend getting a fixed stock Yugo AK and using a side folding ACE stock on it. If you don't like it, you can always put the original wood back on it.

Not sure what you consider "huge", but the standard commie rail mount is quite solid and allows the use of any available commie optic.

I've never seen a complaint about them.

I'd install a commie side rail and use a Kobra.

Is there any possible options of getting the barrel lining chromed after purchasing a m70? I know they don't come chrome lined but if it was possible to get it done afterwards, I would like to.

With enough money, anything is possible.
