I was the Man who decided to teach that kid that guns were cool and we started out on 22's and then 243's and I was there when he shot his first elk with 330 Dakota his dad bought me for being so good to his kid.

I was the schmuck who got that kid so scared of guns and now he is running to take all our guns away from us. I knew there was nothing good that could happen to that kid.....

As for little kids..... My son is two months away from 15. He plays traveling "A" bantam hockey and last time I was at the range with him and he got a chance to, he shot 40 rounds of CT /failsafe 180 gr 30-06 ammo, his normal rifle is a 250 savage model 99 or a 94 winchester trapper in 44 rem mag. He is 5' 4' 84 pounds.

You have a chance to teach a kid a lot of good lessons. If you are not the man to teach him, then please PLEASE get a man to take that job for you.

update - the kid got a marlin .22 bolt action.

thank god! now he's trying to find a place for hte kid to shoot. much as i dread it, this might be a great opportunity to display my 'evil assault weapon' to the big dumb boss.
