Glock 17. Because of the grip angle, 1911's and similar style handguns always end up pointing "muzzle-down" when I draw them, and I then have to correct to get the sights on line. With the Glocks and guns with similar grip angles to them, they always end up right in line.

Second all P99 posts...next in line is a 1911 pattern .45. with the CZ-75 coming in close third...

My first auto, a H&K usp compact in .45acp.
Now I have many others, but I already had the best one first, and didn't know it...

I thought you meant 'which gun to you feels like you pulled it out of a rock', or in my case, the gun you came up with when you stuck your hand and svereal hundred dollars into a bucket of parts?

As far as out of the box feel? 1911 or BHP.

1911-A1, flat MSH, Short trigger, beavertail, and a good set of adjustables for a nice marrage between solid steel and shooter.

squeeze-break.

My vote's for the 1911, also, especially with a beavertail grip safety. No real preference (yet) on the mainspring housing. I do prefer some nice wooden stocks as opposed to rubber or plastic.
