What's your favorite autoloader?

I am a big fan of both

Glocks and 1911's. I trust Glock to work right out of the box. I love my 1911's more for their looks than anything else. If I am honest, there is no reason to carry a 1911 over a Glock. Yet, as I type this, I am wearing one of my 8, soon to be 9, 1911's, and two spare mags. It is not the lightest, most reliable or highest capacity gun that I own but, it is the prettiest. Go figure.

Seriously, I like 1911's.

But i gotta give a shout out to Kahr and my Kahr MK9 as for an all steel gun of its size that shoots 9mm its one heck of a piece of art. And to deny the PM45 as an amazing gun would be wrong.

Bring the cost of ammo into the equation and I sure get a grin out of plinking away with my Buckmarks. Suppressed back yard action has increased my grin frequency.

Take ammo cost waaaaay out of the equation, maybe the biggest firearm induced grin I ever had was renting a F.A. Thompson .

That's a difficult question.

Favorite at the range? Got to be my 22/45. Nothing else I own comes close to the fun factor per dollar spent as that gun does.

Favorite at the range in a 'real' caliber? My DW 1911. It has a sweet trigger and makes me look like a hero.

Favorite to carry? My cz-82 because I outshoot my other carry guns with it.

Favorite for HD? My xd45. Hard to argue with 14 rounds of .45 in a reliable package with a decent trigger.

Favorite guilty pleasure? My PK380. It's for my wife, but damn I love that thing as a plinker. Feels good in the hand and makes me look pretty good... even though it is totally a "chick" gun.
