What's your favorite type of loading on the bench?

Mr. Varminterror's mention of reloading with his wife reminded me of a few years back when my wife and I were active in benchrest competitions. She did all of our loading and I cleaned our rifles. Here she is at work at the loading bench in our camper loading for next match. Those were enjoyable times. .View attachment 825116

That
is
AWESOME!

Not only do you have an extensive collection of superb firearms (I've run out of adjectives for it), but you had a mobile reloading operation and a wife that assisted with the process.

It does make a big difference to have a wife involved with shooting, both in terms of operating costs as well as enjoyment.

I’ll recognize how spoiled I am - my wife primed every case and seated every bullet I fired out of my 6.5 creed and 6 creed match rifles last season, to the tune of about 4,000rnds. She ran the ultrasonic cleaner for almost every batch we ran the last two years, which I know was over 20,000rnds last year, slower year than normal with my change in work travel volume. There were a handful of weeks this season where I was traveling all week between one match to another and wouldn’t be home to load, so HBIC loaded my match rounds for me. She even confirms zero and velcocity for each batch as needed. Dang handy having that opportunity in my life.

But unlike that ONE Saturday many moons ago, usually wine isn’t involved when she’s loading with me, and she’s usually fully clothed.

upload_2019-10-1_13-1-52.png The Hulk is my favorite gun to reload for (22-250) , I use a lee hand press, varget powder, Redding dies, and I have been getting some good groups. My groups starting shrinking once I understood and started working with ogive depth. Found the rifling for that bullet then started pulling back .005 off rifling then tweaked that and the gun told me what it likes. Store bought bullets are set deeper to shoot in any gun your gun my want to set closer to the ogive .
