I am ashamed of my fellow man who turns capatilist on the wake of tragedy.

If a man asks for $7500 for a $900 AR then more power to him, if he sells it. If a man owns all of the inventory for a high demand item (monopoly) and the only way to get one is to pay the $7500, then he is a greedy hog.

Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.

You've missed my point.

Didn't/haven't bought anything AR or Glock related. Don't really need anything in that regard other than a scope mount and maybe an optic. Did buy a 10/22 takedown & some BX25's. Also some more .38 special ammo. Wish I had more money for ammo. I'm holding.

+1
hso -- Prices will drop so if you want to profit from the basic, sell, but if you don't want to blow money needlessly, hold.

Hold, prices will drop...legislation will certainly be introduced and people will panic even more. But they don't have the votes to get it though. The '94 ban only passed a Democratic House by 2 votes (216 to 214), today with a Republican house nothing will move. That's why we call it a Lame Duck Congress. After watching yesterdays "Meet the Press" and "Face the Nation" I'm even more confident nothing will be enacted towards AR's or the magazines. The bubble will burst and many buyers will be sitting with their $90 stripped lowers that they paid $350 for.

Here's a blog from Rainier Arms owner as a reminder of how finicky the market was in 2008: http://blog.rainierarms.com/2012/12/22/boom-doom-gun-dealers-perspective/

I'm holding all of mine at the moment. Have enough for one EBR per person in the house (6) in case we need to defend ourselves.

Good on mags for now.

Buying reloading gear just to plus up my ammo but I normally do that during the cold season. That way I have plenty to keep on hand and for range practice during the warmer days.

I'm planning to sell one of my Spikes AR and see if I can fetch a decent price for it, but nothing ridiculous. Somewhere in the ballpark of maybe $1200-1600.

Its a sellers market right now--if you are one of the smart ones who bought/invested in AR/AK's before the panic.

Sold a RRA LAR-15 National Match today, bought it for Camp Perry rattle battle 6 years ago. But never was able to get a team together. My M1 has made the trip with me many times and I'm OK with that.

I'll probably use that money for reloading supplies and a 4" 1911.
