Just curious how much lead is going down range this weekend. There really is no better way to celebrate the sacrifice of our predecessors and current fighting men and women than to flex one's second amendment rights at the range (my opinion). I personally relish the opportunity to fire a weapon because a WANT to (as opposed to when I HAVE to). I'll be heading to the range tomorrow and I'll be back to report how many empty casings I've manufactured.

So what's YOUR round count for the weekend?

I shot 22 .22 LR rounds this morning when I tested out a couple of Mossberg 44 mags I just received back from repair ( one 7 round mag and one 15 round mag). More shooting to follow over the next few days :).

In the near term hopefully none. I'm on a fishing swimming trip typing this from a makeshift bed in the back of a tundra backed up to an irrigation ditch. I have a s&w 60-18 by my head but it'll be a bad night if I have to use it.

Took Friday off and put about 200 .22s down range along with about 60 .45s. Unfortunately, last day of turkey season saw nothing but mosquitoes and coyotes, didn't take any shots today. Tomorrow hitting the archery range but I'll probably sneak in a couple hundred rounds at the pistol house too.

Shot about 100 9mm today at a steel action match. It was a blast. Had a 100 yard blowing pin for a -20 bonus. 2 people got it. I was not one of them

This was destined to be a good weekend for me seeing that I haven't been to the range in a while. Here's what I've shot so far since Friday (I've lived at the range, if you can't tell):

48 12ga. target load
60 12ga. 00 buck shot
60 12ga. magnum slugs (all through my Saiga 12)

150 .22LR (Henry pump-action .22LR)

90 55-grain .223 (Barnes Precision AR-15)

Tomorrow, it's looking like a .22LR day since my shoulder is toast from all that Saiga fun. I've got a ton of Wolf match target ready to shoot.

Monday, I'm hoping to take my S&W 686 and 1911 out for a ride.

So, all in all, I'm prepared to go broke this weekend!

I am heading out tomorrow. I have packed the following.
100 5.56mm
100 45acp
100 9mm
500 22lr

Should be a fun day for the family. :D

Sent 125 rds of 32gr .204 downrange, and 51 lust crazed praire dogs to the promised land. Pups are up, but hard to hit at 2-300 yds, but you can get doubles more often because they're "dumb" right now. Not too bad a batting adverage, considering the range and wind. Done by noon, a large time was had by all.

115 rounds through my Beretta 92FS. I had a few minutes so I drove to some farmland where I have free access. I go way too often because this pistol has a high fun factor. I can't keep my stash of ammo this way!

None this weekend, working (got to pay for the ammo, lol), off Monday but my range is closed, so, this coming Friday I'm making it a day trip:D, gonna be a 2000 round day of mainly 9mm, 380, and .22lr! It'll be fun! Plus I need to record some video for my YouTube stuff, lol. Anyhow, I'd like to take this time to thank all those who have given their life's for us, and all who have served and are serving! Plus their family's, they sacrifice too, I come from a military family, and I have nothing but respect for all of you! Thank you!!!!

Hopefully less than 200. I have a tactical match and misses really don't do anyone much good . ;)

Final round count was about 210. That's about 90 more than I hoped to fire.

Just got back from a late-day/night shoot with a friend. When the sun went down we moved up to 5-10 yards of the berm and did some flashlight drills. 400 rounds of 9mm this trip. Friday I got to the range in the afternoon and did another 150 of draw & fire, target transition, and mag changes.

That's more than I typically shoot, but I'm still relatively fresh back from the last deployment, and relatively fresh out of the hospital from surgery. I can't do much else right now (can't even swing a golf club) so I figured it's a good opportunity to reacquaint myself with my gun collection and knock the rust off for IDPA this summer.

100x22. 50x38. I just got a "new to me" S&W model 15 that I had to take to he range. I also just replaced the extractor on a ruger mark iii 22/45. So both "had" to head to the range.

Zero

Range will be far too busy. Too hard to recover my brass, too many morons pointing guns everywhere. I'll stick to weekdays.

Went to the range 5 times in the last two weeks, though.
