What's your summer carry and why?

Pocket carry a Kahr PM9. Stainless/polymer so it's not really affected by sweat causing it to rust. Never had any issues.

Glock 20 or an XD - 45 service model Just depends on how much fire power I feel I need. I love my 10mm. Best damn round period.

With all the PM9s here, did you know Kahr now makes an all metal mag catch for the PM9? They sent me one for free and it's very easy to replace.

A neat fact about my old pm40 was the cw40 mags seated also so i could have 8 rounds in my backup mags. but all kahr followers are crumbling plastic junk

Smith 642 pocket carried. It's freaking hot here in Florida during the summer.

The P9 is a beautiful weapon. I use the 8 round mag with one in the tube cocked and locked for a total of 9 rounds. Less than an inch wide in a custom Bianchi. Seriously effective and reliable choice.

Problems? Not 1 in 2 years.

they were still sending me plastic replacments 4 months ago.

Hmmm...maybe they're getting rid of old stock. I'll bet Kahr will send you metal followers for free because they sent me the new all metal mag catch for the PM9 for free. My PM9's original mags have plastic followers (6 and 7rd) and never have given me any trouble. I ordered extra mags a few years back and they all had metal followers.

Depends on what I am wearing here.

I have a Galco Summer Comfort holster for both my 1911 and Glock 19 that I use year-round.

If I can get away with it, I carry the 1911. If I am in something a bit more casual and open, I carry the Glock 19.

I've been very impressed with the Galco Summer Comfort Holster. I got one in 1994 for my Glock 19, and only recently had to replace it due to some neglect on my part. I decided to get one for the 1911 when I replaced the one for the Glock, and I got one for my Father-in-Law's 1911 as well.

I love the summer comfort holster. Recently got one for my 1911. Currently I carry my Sig 226 in a De Santis tuckable. 150 rounds to go till my break-in on my Kimber's done. After that, and after I get some night-sights for it, it will be my year-round carry piece. Not to take anything away from the Sig, I just shoot better with a 1911.

I carry a 637-2, it's got the power to get the job done and it hides real nice, summer or winter. Goes in the right front pants pocket, no print at all. perfect for an old f--t.:D

Most days, it's a Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II in a D.M. Bullard IWB holster. Otherwise, it's an H&K USP Compact in a Galco Summer Comfort IWB holster. On most days though, the Kimber wins out because it is so much more easy to conceal than the H&K.

BTW, it's these rigs for ANY season for me. I can't afford to "accessorize" for different seasons. The Galco holster is nice, but it has a bit of a mass produced feel to it. The D.M. Bullard holsters are beautiful. In fact, all of his work is beautiful. I have one of his gun belts, two IWB magazine holders with belt clips for the Kimber, and one magazine holder with belt clip for the H&K.

When I first got my plastic and started carrying for rizzle, I tried to get by without spending the money on a good gun belt. It was a mistake. A good belt turns out to be indispensable to comfortable carrying for me - hot or cold weather regardless.

Are You Talking About a Kahr?

The P9 is a beautiful weapon. I use the 8 round mag with one in the tube cocked and locked for a total of 9 rounds. Less than an inch wide in a custom Bianchi. Seriously effective and reliable choice.
All my Kahrs are DAO (or "self-decocking double-action pistols," if you prefer John Farnam's classification). How do you carry one of them cocked and locked?

hot humid memphis tn s&w 296 is light big bang 44spec and cant rust
titanium and aluminum

Right now it's and XD40SC. I still can't get comfortable with it in just a tshirt so as soon as I can afford it I'm going for a S&W 642 pocket carry for summer. Ofcourse by the time I can afford it, it will probably be winter.
