When you sleep at night with a gun, do you leave your bedroom door unlocked in case..

i keep my bed room door locked, and my 2 dogs sleep in my room with me they will alert me if someone/something is lurking around my house they have great hearing, and with me in my room i have my knife( if all else fails) and my newly acquired .12 ga shotgun loaded with 00 buckshot

I have to sleep with doors open.... if someone's in my house and my dogs are barking, I want every opportunity to hear them.
