smegging monkey crap. got the email alert from 3rd generation that they had 231 in stock. In the time it took to open the email and a browser - it was all gone already.

I was finally able to order a five pounder of RL-15 this morning, so I am happy. Now if some AA-1680 and some 3N37 would show up. :)

Wow. Some HP38/231 sightings finally.
I actually scored 2 lbs at an area gun store/ shooting range 29.00. They had tons of HP-38, WIN 231, Bullseye, and Titegroup. They don't ship...My area range had Titegroup and CFE Pistol as well.

That's encouraging. I guess that flushes my theory that Hodgdon was holding it back to promote AutoComp down the toilet.

Power pistol and VVN320 and 340 showed up at a not so local LGS. several bottles of each. They'll probably be there for awhile too. $45 for VV and $38 for PP.

I picked up 2lbs of Varget at Duncan's in Wilkesboro, NC yesterday. They still had some when I left.
They had most of the Alliant Reloder range - except for 15.

W231 and WSF sold out quickly. Bullseye is still available and perhaps be combined with other powders to offset the HazMat fee.

Yeah I went to gunbot and typed in 231..low and behold...it came up with Winchester 231...instead of the VIHTAVUORI powder which costs $231...but then I saw it was sold out...at least there is proof it is being made

I was quick enough to get 2 pounds of 231 from Sportsman's early this morning! It is easy to forget with the hazmat/shipping fees, the price is nearly $90 all in!

Rocky Mountain Reloading (Free shipping on all orders):

These are currently the lowest prices I could find on premium and plated bullets (pulled/seconds/thirds). 115/124 gr mixed plated bullets are new and they are at lead bullet prices - even if you spend $25-$30 for FA DS750 digital scale for weighing bullets, they are worth the price. Since RMR stock varies from time to time, get them while they are in stock!

Maxam CSB-5 pistol shotgun powder

Gun Broker auction # 435485993. 16 lbs. of Maxam csb-5 powder, buy it now for $348.00. Haven't used it myself but read some reviews on another site. For some reason I couldn't copy and paste the link.

Recently had some luck finding powder

I have only been reloading about three years but during that time reloading components have been a challenge. In the past couple of months I seem to have broken the code on reloading components. I reload for pistols (380, 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP).

BRASS - Whenever I start reloading a new caliber I will buy 1000 pieces of brass in that caliber from a guy on Craigslist. Normally pay $0 per 1000. I only shoot a ranges that allow me to pick up my brass. From that time forward I have all the brass I need.

BULLETS - I buy bullets online and there seems to be plenty available

PRIMERS - I buy primers locally and there seems to be plenty available.

POWDER - That is the problem area. 1) Buy it locally, I have never found it online. 2) Don't get your heart set on just one powder, narrow it down to a group of powders, that way you will have more options. 3) Check the local gun shops rather than the big box store, BassPro and Cabellas have too much traffic and if they get any powder it disappears before I can get to it. 4) the LGS if they have a call list for powders, many of them do and this is how I have my best luck finding powder. 4) Check the powder manufacture's website to see if they have a list of distributors in your area, they seem to get supplies earlier than the other stores that sell supplies. 5) Rural stores seem to keep supplies on the shelves longer than stores in the metropolitan areas, I travel from Dallas to Houston from time to time and there is a store in Buffallo TX that is a great source. 6) Always keep an eye out for powder, don't wait until you are running low. It recently took me seven months to find some UNIQUE.
