Where are there reloading components????

An American voting for obama is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders

The lack of components falls on us gun owners. So far nothing has changed but us.

I hope this helps

I hope everybody's doing well.

If you enter "ammo finder" into a search engine, I like Ixquick, it brings up a bunch of bots that you can customize to find what you want, loaded or components.

3rd Generation Shooting Supplies had a good order of Hodgdon powders in this morning. Running out fast though.

Saw two 8 pounders of Unique on the shelf at Grady's Great Outdoors in Anderson, SC. They also had one pounders in Power Pistol, Green, Red and Blue Dots, Longshot, IMR 4227, W296, Herco, and a few more in the handgun category. They have a website but don't appear to list fast moving items on it. See their contact info and call. I don't know if they ship powder.

They had the best supply of primers I have seen in awhile, but it's not the sort of pile from which one would order in bulk.

Got a notice that MidwayUSA just got Redding Taper Crimp Dies back in stock for .45 ACP.

This die would be an important addition to any 3-die set (that does not include a separate crimp die to allow seating and crimping in separate operations).

Hornady dies work nicely too, but are also hard to source.

Lee dies (FCD) are fine, as long as you don't use lead bullets.

Order some Powder from 3rd gen Shooting on Monday

8lb Tightgroup
8lb CFE223
4lb of H335

All shipped and should land Monday

Rock and Roll....

would like to have got w231, really Like it, but the tightgroup works real well in 9mm and for Plinking .357 loads as well.....

Now i can Compare wc844 vs h335 for myself

Thanks for the heads up guys.....

Anyone know anyone selling RCBS 45ACP 3 die set? I can't seem to find them anywhere online or locally.

Picked myself up an 8lb jug of Varget today from my local guy. Still have 3 or 4 of the 1lb canisters. He's got more stuff in his store now than ever, just reloading supplies.

And no, he doesn't ship.

AHReloading in Nashville. If you're in the area, he's very well stocked. Best prices in town too. But like I said, he doesn't ship.

Nice, I'm glad you did. I have an 8 pounder from them, loading 9mm it should keep me going a while. Got a gun show on the 26th, we'll see whats available there sans hazmat fee. That's something else I love about Recobs, everything ships from them so you can combine a bunch of powder and primers with only one hazmat fee. Some places ship from multiple locations and you get stuck with more than one fee....

+1on recobs. It's about a 45 minute drive for me (no shipping!) and they are really nice folks. And if they don't have what I need, I can usually find something I want.

Shoulda bought one of those 8-lb jugs of h4895 while I was there. They don't show up on the online store (perhaps they're gone already?) but I saw two of them with my own two eyes and hands on Friday afternoon.

It's hard to say for sure if it would be worth it for you. You're probably looking at two hours, each way. If you're getting primers and/or powder and can save the hazmat fees then it probably would be a worthwhile investment of your time and money. They're great folks and it's my favorite place to shop (except for maybe Farm n Fleet) but I don't like to make even the 45 minute drive more often that I have to.

Would it be worth it for you? Only you can decide that.

In times like these....

I can't wait for the day when we can, at our leasure ( or when we start running low) on components, log on to our favorite site or walk into our favorite store and buy what we need . Until that day returns it's nice to have people like bds and others, who will take the time to tip us off to where we can find what we're looking for. My Dentist calls me on my cell yesterday and says, "I'm at a local gun shop and the owner is selling out of all his reloading supplies. He wants $35.00 a thousand for primers, is that an ok price?'" :D. I ended up getting 3k CCI#41s and 3k Fed sm pistol. No powder or bullets but like I said it's nice to have friends:)
