Supplies

Palmetto state armory, sportsmans warehouse, and shooters choice all in columbia sc. I have been able to find a decent supply of anything I need the past 12 months. I just got into reloading a year ago. I was able to grow my powder supplies to almost 20 different choices. Projectiles are a bit more scarce but still around if you are willing to mix and match components.

Bass pro in Hampton VA had trailboss today, 3rd business in the tidewater region that had it

I'm not sure who posted up the plated seconds rmr has for sale, but I took notice and went ahead and ordered some to try out. They showed up yesterday. I won't get to loading them and trying them out for a few weeks, but they sure look nice in the bag. Hard to tell what's wrong with them to be relegated as seconds. I've seen worst as firsts.

Recobs has N32C 1# VIHTAVUORI Powder for $16 (Cowboy powder - light .38, .357, .44, .45 Colt)
Never used it for anything but they have some.
I have had no problems ordering from them.

Anyone seen any Pistol/Shotgun type powder available anyhwhere?

Knew I should have orderd that 8lbs of Promo when I had a chance, (for all of 1 day) oh well hind sight is 20 20.

Green Top near Richmond VA had a good selection of powder, today. Many 8lb jugs of IMR4895, 3031,4046,4350,4320. Also, H380, R17, Superformance. Many 1lb containers of 2015,2230,#9 and lots of others. The best supply I have seen in a long time.

$30/# has become the new standard in my area already.....
$30/#? I recently passed up a pound of pistol powder at a gun show that was selling for $50. Now I'm kicking myself. I should have bought it. If I saw it again, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I don't think there were 5 pounds of handgun powder in the hall except for some magnum powders and an 8 pounder of SR4756. All rifle and shotgun, just like online. I was there about an hour and a half in, so any zealots or vultures, whatever, may have beat me to it.

One guy was taking as many one pounders of Varget as he could carry with the vendors blessing. He had no bag, so I am not sure how many he wound up with. There was 4064 on the shelf too, which the guy said was the same thing as Varget. I believe the buyer said something about selling, hopefully to friends who couldn't make it or to others at least at a fair price.

p.s. I bought 12 ounces of Trailboss for $31 and a brick of CCI 500 (SPP) primers for $40.

I've been seeing primers locally for under $35/1000 at more than one LGS. They are on the shelves, where they used to be. This isn't being posted to tell where to get them but more to say that it seems they are back in the mainstream and available. If not in your area then it's coming... be patient. I haven't seen primers on display for over a year so this is good news, IMO. Also, pallets of all calibers of ammo except .22 (in any type). Midway had CCI in stock for over a week a few weeks back. I wasn't going to pay shipping and hazmat for them when I can find them locally.

Powder, on the other hand, is still scarce. My preferred Bullseye has been MIA for quite a while. All the popular handgun powders are no where to be seen on the shelves. Hopefully that will change soon as well. Bullets seem to be almost everywhere online. No hazmat fees for those. So it's down to .22 ammo and powder. Things are looking up.

I have burned through my entire stock of 9mm reloads over the last few months as I've gotten into shooting IDPA and multigun, and not having loaded many since over a year ago when I last had my press set up. I peered into my last can of Power Pistol to find less than a half pound. I've been keeping my eyes out locally and at a few online vendors, but I guess I am too slow and have not seen a single pound of pistol powder in the entire month I've been looking. Hopefully I can find some 9mm/40sw powder soon, as a friend has been asking me for help and I have no spare powder for him.

Bullets and primers aren't a problem, just powder =(

Thanks for the heads-up, now I've got some N32C from Recob's on the way to me. Need something for light 38 spl loads, might as well give it a try.
