Recob's has some new stuff in, mostly rifle powders. If you've been looking for something to load pistol with like I have, they have IMR 800x in 1 and 4 pounders.

Yup, Recobs showing 8 pounders of Benchmark and one pounders of BL-C2, 1 pounder and 8 pounders of H335, 8 pounders of WIN 748 among others.

As of closing time today bobs gun shop in Norfolk va had benchmark in 1 and 8 pound jugs, varget, trailboss IMR 3031, 4064, 4198, and a couple more.

How are they on powder? I'm moving back to Chesapeake next month.

@MR_X bobs was pricey, ~$30 per pound of imr/hodgdon variants, the varget ran me $32, but they have the best stock I have found in the area.

.....what's up with the Sierra rifle bullets?

I got this reply from Sierra in regards to bullets for 41 magnum and 30-30----

Edward, same reason - demand. Handgun bullets sell FAR less that rifle bullet (and .41 is one of the slowest of them all) so when we move to a BO status production schedule like we are now, it quickly moves those type of bullets (and 30-30) to the lower end of the run list. All our top sellers will need to be in stock before we get back to the 2nd and 3rd tier bullets. We make over 250 different bullets and most of them are out of stock. Without 250 bullet presses to run them on, it will take awhile to get to all of them if that makes sense. We know it is frustrating (it is for us as well) but we will keep running full bore until we get everything back on the shelves. 30-30 may be this year, but .41 will more than likely be 2015.

So basically if they don't consider the bullet you are looking for to be a top seller---well just sit on yer hands and wait.

anyone in the SE Virginia area, check out http://macsreloading.com/

local guy in va beach that sells at area gunshows, his inventory shows titegroup, longshot, H4895, H335 to name a few. I got a pound of Autocomp from him a few months ago for about $30, you can call him and try to work out a pickup. he is a retired Navy Senior Chief, good guy. he runs it out of his garage so he may or may not be willing to do a sale outside of a gunshow.

^Definitely going to hit the Brother up. Need some Longshot and Tac. If any of you Va Beach guys have some Tac, would trade 4 lbs of Varget for it # for #. I'll be In the area May 15th.

z7 - thanks for the heads up on him!

EDIT - don't trust the website, it said he had bullseye in stock so I emailed him and it is out of stock. Definitely need to call to verify the accuracy of the info on the website.

Any new sources of pistol powder. I'm looking for American Select, Green Dot, Red dot, Clays, WW231. Can anyone point me in the right direction? kwg

I found red dot at our local bass pro a few weeks ago.

I was at a gun show today and a guy had a couple of pounds of Unique however he wanted $65 per pound!

Bullseye, eh?

As of a week ago, I was sweating it too; down to my last dregs. I had entertained foreboding thoughts that Alliant had stopped producing it. Thankfully, I was wrong.

Not really expecting a hit, I asked the counter guy at a local store if he happened to have some Bullseye. He had four 1 lb jugs left from a shipment earlier that week. I suppose I could have cleaned him out, but at 2.7 gr per round a pound will keep me going for quite some time. Good to share, methinks.

So it is out there - but on the same shelf as the hen's teeth.
