I'm looking for shotshells for .44 Spl. preferably, but I'd buy some for .38/.357 or .45 LC if I could find ANY. I can find NO handgun shotshells in any caliber anywhere online or in any stores (Cabela's, Gander Mountain, etc.). Websites list them (photos, prices, etc.) but then indicate Out Of Stock / No Back Orders for them all. What's up with all this? Are handgun shotshells simply not being manufactured anymore? Has Homeland Security bought them all? Help!

Don't think there is anybody loading .44 Special shot shells. CCI loads .357 and .44 Mag with #9 shot in un-reloadable cases. 10 round boxes only.
Otherwise, like Steve C says, it's a reloading thing. Still by the weight.
Shot fired out of a rifled barrels flies in a spiral sending the shot who knows where. Patterns have huge holes in 'em anyway. Only useful if Kaa is about to eat you.

They are loaded in .38 Spl & .44 Spl length cases so they can be used in either gun.

Yep, I have some for my 3" Bulldog .44 Spl. They are murder on snakes.

I also make my own now, but the Speer shells work great if your in a hurry or don't reload.
