gilroy was selling this python and it was gone before i found it. damn.

anyway, can anybody steer me towards these grips? he said he paid around $50 for them.

thanks,

mike

whoops, don't know why the link won't work here, but if you go to his post it works.

sorry for the ineptness.

thanks again,

Which pair, the ones on the gun or the ones off?

The ones off are the standard factory Third Type Colt Target Grips.

The ones on are a set of after-market grips that look just like factory, except made of an exotic wood.

These were usually made in Italy or India., but I don't think they're still being made.

For standard Colt factory Target grips and for these exotic types, watch Ebay.
The Factory models show up often, the fancy non-factory less often.

Here's a pair that sold recently:

dfariswheel,

gee, how imprecise can i get? i mean the ones on the revolver. sorry for the confusion.

by the way, please allow me take the opportunity to thank you for sharing your python knowledge. your posts are enlightening. it must have taken you many years to acquire this knowledge.

and there are many men who who would guard this knowledge jealously with the mean spirited attitude of, "hey, i paid my dues, so screw you. go find out somewhere else."

you are to be commended for your generosity. you are a herpetologist of the first water. again, thank you!

might you have an idea what this type of grip would be called? it would help in the search.

mike

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

On Ebay, I'd do a search for "Colt grips". You'll probably have to watch for quite a while, since these don't turn up too often.
