Got my gun in today (SW5, MP5 clone) and its set in semi only, my sear is pending and should be in at any time. Where do i get a full auto bolt and any other parts needed to make this thing run full auto? Any help is appreciated.

Unless this thing is pre-1986, any fulll auto fire in it will be HIGHLY illegal! Like, go to jail forever, and never buy a gun again, if you ever get out. BUt you said sear, so i assume you have a RDIAS?

I don't know but if you need any help testing it out I will donate ammo! ;)

Hallsville, MO.

Beltfed is good to go.

If you know where he can get parts, let him know; if not, there is no need for unnecessary ClubFed commentary.

He likely bought an HK trigger pack. I don't know much about HK machineguns but I think you can move the trigger pack around on some of them. I'm sure a guy called 'belt fed' knows the rules. ;)

Also: A RDIAS is typically the name for a drop in conversion for AR-15 rifles. Although it requires a whole bunch of other M-16 parts to work, that are illegal to own unless you own a pre-86 DIAS.

I think it says in title "sear is pending", i have one the ATFE is approving, chill out.

Indiana, your more then welcome to come to club fed with me and my illegal-legal sear, or is it my legal-illegal sear?? Either way your welcome to come out and play with the MG's anytime, and yes they are all legal. Not to be sarcastic but some of you need to read up before you start informing folks on whats legal and not.

Im new to the HK world, not the MG world. Been doin this for yrs, i have my ducks in a row.

Tryin to find places to get F/A parts so i can legally swap my sear into ANY HK gun or clone and LEGALLY make it full auto. Same as a RDIAS, you can put these in any semi and make it full auto. Its simple.

beltfed, sadly I think you're just going to have to call people you know and have them put the word out. You probably know the usual mg forums as well as any.

Short of waiting til spring knob creek...

ya know, it's too bad we don't have an NFA forum here with some stickies for good places to shop

You are worried about the price of a full auto bolt when you just dropped what 20-30 times that on the sear? I thought you would have done your research before the purchase.

Taliv, The "RIFLE COUNTRY" forum headline says """(517 Viewing)
Plinking, precision shooting, self-defense, putting food on the table: rifles and machine guns fill every niche.""""

Seeing how it says machineguns i figured this was the place to post about MG's???

As for research, from the time i found out the wife wanted a HK sear and the time i found one at decent price that was a good brand, there was no time for researching the price of parts. Unlike with title 1 weapons, you dont have alot of time to ponder on do i buy it or not, either you buy it or you miss out. Im doin my research as the sear is pending.

Thanks for the helpful sites guys, have checked them out and bought a couple things already. Still looking for others.

np, beltfed. i just figured if we had a dedicated forum, it might get more attention and get more class III guys talking. as it is, barely 1 in a hundred threads in rifle country are about machine guns.

No, you're correct, Beltfed, this is the place to post about it.

Someone will wander by and see it soon enough, I suspect. It's only been four hours at this point. ;)

Mike

Yeah, if we had a dedicated forum, we may loose the know it all attitudes that dont know jack chit. Have posted a couple times about MG's and every time i get some prick tellin me im committing a crime and goin to jail. Pisses me off when someone tells me the law and doesnt know anything of which he speaks. Maybe a dedicated site will educate them and maybe they also will learn they also can own and enjoy these weapons.

i read some where that a guy had an m-16 bolt in his ar and the gunsmith destroyed his bolt becasue it was "illegal"

guy printed out an atf letter and made the smith pay for it

as far as i know(not an expert and dont own a f/a) you can legally use the bolts and such but just not the reciever or sear from an unregistered/dealer sample or otherwise non transferable full auto but i think california may have banned the m-16 bolts i read that somewhere no surprise there correct if wrong please (seriously im interested)

your best bet is forums probably

Yeah, if we had a dedicated forum, we may loose the know it all attitudes that dont know jack chit.

You're a relatively new user on a forum that, as far as I can tell, sees more questions from relatively new users about (presumably innocent) attempts to violate laws concerning automatic weapons than new users who show up having much knowledge of the legalities of the topic. I think, perhaps, it would be good form and more of the High Road to take the comment in stride as someone trying to be helpful rather then belaboring it and harping on it.

I've dealt with RTG parts (robertrtg.com), and they're cool folk. I don't know if they have what you need, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy form them if they do.
