I buy most of my guns from Bob's Gun Shop in Norfolk, Va. I live in the area and have been a customer for 30+ years. I support them because they have a good selection and are always polite and friendly and and wait on customers rather than stand around yacking with each other or on the phone with friends/wives, etc. Any problem I have ever had with anything I have bought there has been rectified to my satisfaction with no hassle. There is also a range and gunsmith on premises.
I don't work there or get anything for saying this. I don't think they have the absolute lowest prices but they are not outrageous. It costs something for them to maintain the services and good, long term employees that they have. I am not saying this to advertise for this particular shop but to illustrate why I still prefer the face to face buying experience from a good, local shop. I intend to keep buying this way. I don't have anything against the internet dealers but I am an old guy who likes to support my local shop if I can and do business with someone face to face...My 2 cents....
