Where do you go online to check "best price?"

I like GunsAmerica, but I buy good gun accessories right here off of THR. Got some smokin good deals, and met some really nice people in the process. Seems like any really good gun deals on THR are snatched up quickly before I have a chance to purchase them. The High Roaders know a good deal when they see one.

Here are a couple I use for both shopping and price checking.

Whittaker Guns Have bought from them, used gun delivered exactly as described over the phone.

OnPoint Firearms Only used them for price checking, have heard they are good to deal with, no experience, prices seem reasonable.

I also use and have bought from Sporting Arms, bummer their site has been down the last few days.

Legionnaire;

On-line will give you prices. Best prices? Well, highest prices. I don't buy on the wire, because I KNOW that if I snoop around, wait awhile, put the word out through people I trust, I can do better. Not talkin' five bucks better either.

I trust my local FFL they always charge me $50 over MSRP, that's fair...right?

Just kidding, I have a pretty good local shop, I do check gunbroker before I buy, If they are close to the lowest price I find I feel pretty good about it. They are a big store and get good deals and try to pass them on, I got a CZ 75 DAO from them for $279 NIB I am lookin at buying a NIB Taurus 650 for $250 OTD. They also have some WARSs for like $500 but I am sure some one will actually by it for that.

I call my local friendly FFL. Best prices I've seen anywhere and he's just a stright up good guy. Even if buying from him cost me a few bucks extra it'd be worth it to give him my money.

Check MSRP on the manufacturer's web site. Then just make a day of it and visit the gun shops you frequent and check their prices. You will find that their prices are pretty much a fixed percentage of the MSRP.

In OKC I can pretty much count on paying 70% to 80% of the MSRP depending on the gun shop and the brand.

There was a time when the web site of one of the local stores had an online catalogue tied to inventory that listed the sales price :D. Then that gawd awful Bass Pro store opened up. The local shop stopped posting prices on their web site because Bastard Pro :fire: just looked online and undercut 'em with their low price guarantee. Now it's hard to get the local shop to even tell you a price over the phone. Doesn't matter though: I can count on they're having the lowest price, got everything gun shop in OKC anyway. :cool:
