Where do you guys put ATN products???

Hey guys. I was just wondering where you guys think ATN ranks regarding their quality and standing in the firearms, specifically the AR community? I have no Chinese stuff on my rifle (that I know of), but I have the ATN Javelin 125W tactical light mounted on quad rail. It seems good quality, a little heavy, and gets only about 2-3 hours of use time. Just wondering if they make good stuff and if I need to consider upgrading.

I have one of their larger scopes. it's been sitting in a box in the closet for nearly 4 years because it couldn't handle recoil and crapped the bed.

Their NV stuff is on the cheaper side, and as you said, their distinguishing characteristic seems to be weight, which hasn't really led to durability ime.

Haha. Ok can you guys give me some ideas on some upper end tactical light makers? Maybe from mid level to high end. I may upgrade soon as the ATN has low battery life and is wicked heavy.

offhand, i'd guess surefire and streamlight have 80% of the "tactical light" market

Four-Sevens just released a 350 (out the front) lumens light called the Maelstrom. All the reviews I've read have been positive, but I don't have one yet. AFAIK they do Chinese outsourcing but only for the main body tubes.

I would look at Streamlight, Elzetta and Surefire for lights.
