Your thoughts sound good to me & should work well. Mine is my Granddad's old cane bottom chair. I have a little different set up. I call it a two stage progressive RCBS. I have 2 Rockchuckers mounted about 18 in. apart. I sit in Granddad's chair to size & deprime then bell pistol brass. One process to a press. I sit to prime. Then sit to charge & seat the bullet. Rifle, I sit to size. Stand to trim. Sit to prime. Stand to weigh powder. I weigh every charge for rifle even if they are practice rounds. Then sit to seat the bullet. Really loved my Granddad. They that love liberty more than life die only once. They that fear death more than oppression die every time they close their eyes. Me.
I have a newer office chair that has a high back, wheels, lots of cushion and pneumatic adjustable height. Works pretty well for me except when I forget that I'm at my reloading bench (concrete floor) and not my computer (carpet). Once, when I pushed away from my bench, I rolled across the basement and found that my chair was at the perfect height for me to get a concussion from my gas meter.... *ouch*
I wanted to build my bench under the gas meters, but my girlfriend was against it. I wonder why...?
