Where have you setup your reloading equipment?

Corner of the basement. It's a constantly evolving work in progress. When I refinish the basement it'll be totally different yet again.

Almost Dream set up

I have a work room on the back of the garage. It is a real room, stud walls, electricity, concrete floor, real roof and a real exterior door. The room is 20' long by 12' wide.

I made the mistake of moving my old loading set up into the place. Used up most of the floor space with old desks I scrounged for work tables. Bad waste of space. And, the gun safe and all my shooting stuff - spotting scopes, pistol boxes, gunsmithing equipment, holster collection and such things - are also in that same room. So here's the plan for improvement (or the next place when I retire, whichever comes first).

Main reloading bench will be a 2x16 mounted to the studs, with re-inforcing support. The Dillon 650 (two of them is the plan, one for large primers and one for small primers) will be mounted on that. Brass and bullets stored in G.I. ammo cans (labeled) on Rigid racks bolted to the walls. (Amazing how much space is taken up with brass!) Powder and primers will be in separate and separated wooden magazines built according to standard fire codes. (Separate cells with 1 inch wooden walls.) These will either be attached to the walls or possibly in a separate small storage room with controlled environment. (It doesn't have to be a 'certain' temperature as much as a 'constant' temperature and humidity.) Something along the lines of a root cellar with clean walls.

Guns and my collectable stuff will be in either a den/office or displayed in the main house area.

Perhaps I should add I am divorced and not likely to have any more women in my life. My kids are grown, and on their own, more or less.

Very nice rondog. When are you going to break down and build a sturdy bench out of real wood to go with those nice shelves and paneling? :)

Thanks! But the "nice shelves and paneling" are cheap garbage crap that the previous homeowner left. Definitely a Bubba Job on the paneling, I've seen better in work vans.

I won't re-do the gun corner until I re-do the whole basement. I want the area properly renovated with insulation, drywall, electrics, paint, etc., and then I'll build a proper bench and shelving. Lots of ideas yet no ambition.

When I moved into my house I had to downsize my bench. It's been in the bedroom for the past 3 years. Now that the girlfriend has moved in, it's being moved to the kitchen tomorrow :( Apparently she needs more room for shoes or something

Mine is on a roll-about cart in the living room along with a small rolling cabinet. Oh, YES, I'm now single and master of my own bungalow - lol

I opted for upstairs for climate control reasons. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
