Ok, so here's the deal. I live in Germany and I need a gun for self-defense.

But to be able to even purchase a gun here in the country, you need a weapon permit.

This permit can be only be obtained by meeting some demands.

For example, you must in a hunting-club - you need to have been in a hunting club (hunting, as in in the woods) for some time (some years) and then take a hunters test. Though this permission only allows you to purchase RIFLES - not a hand-gun, which is what I need for self-defense. Other demands are that you work for the government or that you need it for competitive shooting (which also requires years of training).

But as for self-defense: you cannot get a gun or weapon-permit on that basis.

is there any idea for how I can obtain a weapon for self-defense?

well, i'm just wondering, are there any legal guns, that aren't "real guns", for example they have very small bullets (i've seen some of those which can be bought) but that still would be effective for self-defense?

I would suggest following the letter and spirit of the law.

I'd also suggest looking into a shotgun; I believe they are less regulated in England, possibly you could do better that way?

THR does not, cannot, and will not condone attempts to circumvent the law.

You need to research the legalities of self defense and gun ownership in your country.
