Any recommendations on where to buy an AK in the Fort Worth, TX area?

So far, the local gun shops I've been overpriced compared to what can be found online. However I would like to avoid buying online, as I dont like purchasing sight-unseen.

I dont want to spend a whole lot, so probably a WASR, Lancaster Consulting, Vector or something like that.

Thanks!

You've probably checked 'em out, but I've always liked Military Gun Supply. They're about $50 bucks higher than most places online, but the convenience may be worth the money. Last time I was there, they had a nice selection of Romanian, Polish and even a decent number of Saigas...

but I've always liked Military Gun Supply.

+1 on thier prices and service. I purchased a PT 145 NIB (3rd gen) from them. The price was $50 cheaper than anyone else I have seen. They have many Mil Surp and AK style rifles.

I stopped by Military Gun Supply this morning... they had a bunch of AK's, but they were all 5.45x39... I want 7.62x39, for ammo commonality with my SKS.

The search continues...

Cash Advance Pawn (in Benbrook on 377) has said in the past that they would do FFL transfers for $10. Find an AK online and then give them a call!

No, I don't work for them or have any affiliation.

An AK in 5.45X39 isn't a bad calibre. That military surplus ammunition is cheaper and more available than surplus 7.62X39. It is coming from Bulgaria and what I ahve seen was newer production.

There's a place in Mesquite called The Armory on Old London rd, they've got a bunch of Bulgarian AK's right now. The phone number for The Armory is (972) 285-1288. It's a little bit of a drive from Ft. Worth, but I know that they have some and they're great guys to deal with.

There's also a place called Elite Firearms in Bedford by the water tower that also has some, but I can't recommend that store on the basis that the store owner (Diamond Dave) is a crook who'll screw you if he gets a chance to.

Try Euless Guns & Ammo. I saw an AK on their rifle display rack just a few days ago. I bought a Sig 1911 there, and I've had them do some gun smithing for me on both that Sig, and on a Remington 700 I own. Pretty knowledgeable guys, and their prices seem pretty fair too.
