With the new IL CCW law introduced, where do you go to find classes for the 4 hour training requirement?

Would it be prudent to wait until it is actually passed in case it is altered?

With how backwards that state is, most definitely. You should probably expect huge changes in the bill, kne of which will probably be length if training.

Gun shops usually have bulletin boards with instructors putting up flyers. Craigslist, or regional gun forums. Ask around the gun shop, and friends/family.

I was lucky enough to have a good family friend that is an instructor, and who has been doing it for 10 years or so.

With the virgin market and sudden spike in demand, I don't doubt that there will be a plethora of training classes popping up all over the place in Illinois. You won't have a problem finding them when the time comes to sign up for one. Your local gun shop would be the best place to find more information because gun shops are the most obvious place for a person to advertise training classes.

American Firearms in Peoria, IL has both Utah and Florida ccw classes available. I don't remember the name of the outfit that does them but I think there are also classes upstate, Lombard maybe? I found it with a simple google search. Saving my pennies so I can sign up.

Tinley Park is the other location but only has the Utah ccw class. It's done by CCW Anywhere.
