Where to get AK receivers?

With this talk of buying $100 AR stripped lowers ive been hearing, i was wondering if the same can be done for AK's?

is it a good idea? if so, which ones do you buy and from where?

yup, or you can roll your own from flats.

get a flat (10-30$)
jig (150-250$)
12 ton press (100$)
spot welder for rails (?)

the problem with build youre own AK's is that parts kits are getting pricey.
