Hi,

I have a 627 pro up for sale but am rethinking that. I've had a few people trying to talk me into using the moonclips. They say I'll really like them. I'm still skeptical.

Anyway, I only have 4 of the 8 round moonclips for a 627. Where is the best place to get/order more at a good price, and also for the brass removing tool? They are such a pain to pull the brass out with your fingers.

Just curious, if you are at a class, what do you guys carry your loaded clips in? I'm used to just putting a few speedloaders in my pocket or on my belt with 2 holders. But with moonclips, you'd have to keep walking off the line to grab more moonclips since you don't have time to unload/load every time.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Dillon precision has a new moon tool and probably have moon clips as well. Midway USA should have them as well.

Some people make a nice demooner out of a old steel golf club shaft.
Cut to length, then make a cut out on the end for the clip, it works fine.
Just buy more clips and load up prior to your shooting sessions.

You should definitely give them a shot, it's kind of a huge deal when you're using it to have a moon clip loading 8 round .357. It's a big step up from HKS speedloaders in the old Security Six.
I use S&W moon clips in my 586, and Dillon moon clips in .45 ACP, not for any really good reason except that's what I happen to have. Dillon has a couple of de-mooners and re-mooners, as well as speedloader style moon clip holders that I haven't tried either... I've stuck with the basic hollow steel tube moon clip tool 'till now.
