Hi, I am looking for a CZ Scorpion, but everywhere I look seems to be out of stock. I would like the new 2016 model with the 1/2x28 threaded barrel. Does anyone know of any sites or places that have them in stock? Thanks!

I'm not sure that new model has even been available anywhere yet. Nowhere I have seen anyways.

That makes sense. Also does anyone know if all CZ Scorpion magazines are made out of the U.S.? I ask because of 922r compliance issues. If I buy a Scorpion and SBR it with the CZ stock and I buy a bunch of mags, I will need to replace the floor plates and followers with U.S. floor plates and followers in order to be 922r compliant if I understand correctly. The CZ stock kits only come with two sets of U.S. floor plates and followers and I typically buy 10 mags for my guns. Please weigh in. Thanks!

My understanding is you would need to buy the compliance parts for each new mag. Kind of annoying and adds to the cost but it is what it is. They will still be cheaper than MPX mags.

The new 2016 CZ EVO S1 Scorpion is delayed due to changes in the manufacturing process in the Czech Republic, and there is an explanation on CZ-USA's main web page. When it loads, scroll down.

Some interim models will be come in soon as well as the new carbine model. The magazines are completely made in the Czech Republic, not the US. There is a 922 Compliance Kit on CZ-USA website for magazines, base plates and followers in 1/5/10 packs from $5.99 to $49.99.

Thanks, that's all good to know. Not necessarily good news about the delay, but that explains why nobody has the Scorpion in stock. Shucks, I was hoping to pick one up in the next couple months and get SBR NFA paperwork submitted before 41F takes effect this summer. I doubt that will happen...

There are supposed to be some coming in soon, but they are the interim model with a tack welded trigger cage screw. For me that would be a 100% non issue, but for some it's a deal breaker. Check with your authorized CZ dealer or call CZ direct at 1-800-955-4486.
