Does anyone know where I can find a database of medal winners? More specifically, those who were awarded the Purple Heart in Vietnam? Thanks in advance!

You can make a FOIA request through the D.O.D. for an individual.

I might try the suggestion Blades. Robear, I looked on that webpage and I couldn't find the name. The person is pretty low key and I highly doubt they would ever submit their name to the database.

I have a good friend on the commision that checks these things out.

When people go for the CMH or Distinguished service cross or want to be
buried with the honors asscociated he has governmental contacts that check the service records and do the research.

He has had folks sent to levenworth for faking medals they never earned.

Sadly enough he finds as many fakes as he does actual recipients.

If you want to PM me the the information I will pass it on and get it checked out.

over memorial day weekend I got an interesting email
from A.G. Russell knives about the vets who have
secured our freedom over the last 200 years.
In that message was a link to the receipients of
    the medal of honor
