I've been liquidating a bunch of un-needed parts and assesories lately, and I have several 40-rd Russian AK mags that have been gathering dust (figure of speech) for 10 years or so.
I just did a couple searches, and couldn't find any of these Russian-made mags, and nearly all of the imported 40-rd mags I found were out of stock.
These Rusky 40-rounders were all the rage a while back, and I grabbed a few from someplace like AIM, Copes or Sportsmansguide, I forget. I did the research, and they have the proper factory stamps along the spine, but I kinda forget which ones were which, too.
Anyway, you get the idea, any info is much appreciated....

edit: after more research, I found a lengthy old thread on another forum that was dedicated to identifying AK mags. I found out one of the spine stamps on these 40-rounders meant, "Russian...made at the Vyatskie Polyany Arsenal also known as Molot". Apparantly, that's desirable, but how that translates into definable value, I don't know yet.

You should be able to get 20-25 each. I'd offer you that, but I bought a lot of Bulgarian 40 (and 30) rounders when they were cheap a few years back.

Thanks, that's what I kinda figured, so I posted them for $25ea on one of the classified sites that mostly gets activity from up in the Atlanta area, then posted them locally on Armslist.
When I checked back to the first site, only minutes later, I'd already gotten THREE messages from guys saying they'll take them! In fact, two of them were all but gnashing their teeth at having just missed out on the deal !!
So naturally, I was afraid I'd screwed myself by pricing them too low, but I've already made arrangements to follow through with the deal.
