I am starting to think about a .22 pistol and figure I might as well get one that has similar control setups to my MKIII Hi-Power. I can't really tell from Buckmark pictures how close they match and I haven't found one locally to look at in person.

Anyone already been down this road and know what I am looking for?

Thanks, cmb

rbernie, why is that? Can you elaborate? Grip angle? Control placement? Overall feel?

I think someone out there makes a .22 upper for the Hi-Power. Maybe Ciener. Check the Shotgun News or do a web search. I'll bet there're more than one.

The Buckmark has the same approximate grip angle and the same control layout as the BHP. Unlike the Sig Trailside, Ruger MkII/III, or 22/45, the safety and mag drop are in the same place as they are on the BHP and feel the same as they do on the BHP.

For example, the thumb safety on the 22/45 is a button shape that you sweep down, as opposed to a thumb ledge that you sweep down a la the Buckmark and BHP and 1911.
