Romanian Trainer 1969
I have an old mossberg auto 22 and a Sears 22 from my grandfather and they are both fun to shoot. Especialy the Moss, on the front of the stock it has a black piece that folds down so you have a vertical grip. But my favorite 22 to shoot is this little Rom. Trainer I bought at a gun show 3 years ago. Based on a mouser action with a detachable mag. Has the 2 position safety instead of the 3 like my 98. Its pretty accurate, but the stock left some to be desired so I had to refinish it. I put I don't know how many coats of linseed oil on it but it turned out looking sharp. Not bad considering I picked it up for 75 and refinished the stock for less than 20 bucks. It great for shooting squirrels and tin cans. My wife likes it also, its a little smaller than a full size. All said it was a great buy and I am happy.
