I will be attending the Phoenix Gun Show December 5-7. My gun safe is actually way beyond capacity, so I won't be looking for any long guns as I have nowhere to keep them, I know, first world problems. I can make room for a few more affordable ($200.00 to $400.00 range, so probably no Lugers or 1911s) C&R pistols though.

Own
Walther P38
CZ50
CZ82
1895 Nagant
Radom P64
Romanian TTC

Looking For
CZ52
Star Model B
Astra M600
Russian or Polish Radom Tokarov
Any really good deal on a clean C&R S&W revolver
Colt 1903 Hammerless
Russian or E. German Makarov

What else should I add to the "Looking For" column that I might happen upon at the Phoenix Show? I reload so weird calibers are fine unless it is something that brass and projectiles are impossible to get a hold of, I would consider some obsolete calibers like 9x21mm, etc.

Thanks for any advice guys.

You own and listed a bunch of the good ones already. Normally id say a Russian nagant...but ammo is an issue...so scratch that. Maybe a browning/fn 1910? If ya can find one of course at the right price.

Steyr 1911/12. Astra 400. Decent Luger if you can find one in your price range. Beretta 1934 military. M1911A1 (again if affordable, but make sure to get a GI one). S&W Victory Model. Webley Mk VI. Enfield No. 2. Webley Mk IV (wartime model). Colt or S&W Model 1917. Frommer Stop or Baby. Swiss, Swedish, German, Italian or French military revolver(s). French Model 1935A or S. Japanese pistols ot Type 26 revolver. Etc.

I would have immediately recommended the CZ82 and the P.38, but you already own them, although a nice second one of either at a real good price could still be an option.

I have long wanted, and am still looking for a Star Model B, so that would be near the top of my list.

The Yugo M57 Tokarev is a well made pistol with a decent 'add-on for import' safety. The longer grip and higher capacity make it my own favorite Tokarev, although the magazines do not work with the TTC's from other countries. You may well see one or more selling for the low end of your budget - something to consider.

One of my other favorite C&R purchases is a 4-screw S&W Model 15 from the late 1950's. That is a sweet shooter.

It is fun to have some cash in hand and not have to buy something, unless you find a handgun you like in decent shape at a good price. Good luck, and enjoy yourself!

Wait a minute - early December? You have more restraint than I if you can sit on a $200-$400 cash C&R handgun stash for three (3) months!

I am actually pretty broke but will sell a couple of newer guns to finance buying two or three pistols for this show.

Thanks for all of the recommendations gents, some good ones in there. I have alreqdy acquired most of the more common low cost surplus models so not it is time to branch out to some of the more unusual ones. I love the Buck Rodgers looks of the Astra M600, that is a cool, funky looking pistol and I will definitely be on the lookout for a clean CZ52.

FWIW I've heard that a lot of Star pistols were recently imported, there are several on gunbroker now. With any luck you might get your pick of them.

My advice is to take a close look at anything that looks old, and odd, and inexpensive. Unknown and under-appreciated guns can be quite nice.

A guy on one of the local Facebook gun trade groups has a star model b like new with box and paperwork for 300. I am awfully tempted to trade something for it but I can't figure out what I can part with. Just bought another revolver so can't just buy it right now. I'm not a huge fan anyways...don't like autoloader other than ruger mk series, Beretta 92 and variants, and mini-1911s

But those mini 1911s bring up the llama minimax. I think those should be c&r now and in 380 acp they are mighty close to perfection.

There have been some really nice CZ70's showing up recently, almost new in the box for around $250. They are becoming harder to find, but a sistema Colt, or Ballister Mollina would be cool for a .45 without spending the money on a USGI 1911.

Its hard enough to stock up ammo for the "common" cartridges.

A year ago i picked up a CZ-52 - my first gun that shoots 7.62x25... I still havent been able to fire it, because I wont pay $1 per cartridge for S&B, and the surplus is dried up. Its really buming me out.
