Pardon me if I do not get all of the info right, but I am new to this rifle. I am looking at getting an AR 15 rifle. I have been to my trusted gun store that I have given lots of business and I think I am leaning twords the S&W M&P 15 or the Bushmaster. I realy do not see that much difference between the two models.

Both have collapsable stocks, both are .223, both have the handles with the peep sights, etc. And both are about the same price give or take 50 bucks.

Any pros or cons for either of these choices? Or is it reduced to manufacture preference?

By the way the S&W has a 100 dollar rebate until the end of the month.

Between those two, S&W. I haven't seen any new bushmasters that are built "right". Bushmaster does a lot of cutting corners anymore, but they are still fine for range/hunting guns.

Thanks for all of the input. I was leaning twords the S&W due to personal preference and when I held both today I had a better quailty feel and a gut feeling about the s&w.

I have owned several quality smith products and have never owned a bushmaster product before.

Hopefully I will be able to buy it before the end of the month.

Smiths are built in house now.
I traded my last Bushmaster for a Smith. It was worth it.

Buy it before the end of the month if you can. There is a $100 and two mag rebate on the Smiths until the 30th.
