i built one a few months ago for my girlfriend i like the RRA better then my Colt good guns have not had a jam or failure of any kind with this gun cant say that about my Colt A2
I just bought an RRA CAR 15 A4, not too long ago and love it. It really just depends on what you want to add to it...More options with the A4 opposed to the A2.
I completed my RRA project last September w/ the completion of my middy. I have had 100% reliability accuracy better than I expected and all in all, a great rifle!
whatever brand you get make sure and get a flat top. you have a lot more options of sights and all that jazz, and you can still get the detachable carry handle to make it more like an a2. at least that's what I'm doing for the one I'm building right now. have fun : )
A friend of mine bought an Olympic Arms AR, and he never had a single failure of any kind. Around $650.
Unfourtunately, it was stolen before we could do any shooting beyond 25m, so I can't attest to it's accuracy. I have heard that Olympic rifles don't mate well with uppers/lowers from other companies, so you may want to factor that into your final decision.
The reason you aren't getting too many replys is because of the frequency of this question. It gets beat into the ground, and some of the guys/gals on here have answered that question way too many times for their own good. I did a small search and found a few threads that could benefit you. Hope this helps:
