About even between colts and smiths. Most are from the '60s through '80s. Only new revolvers have been Performance Center. A couple of Ruger sa revolvers just because.
Don't have much truck with the new Smiths, just not happy with the lock or mim parts.

That's my story and I'm at king to it.

cuurently
15 Smith & Wesson revolvers
2 Colt revolvers
4 Ruger Revolvers
1 Taurus Revolver

Mostly 1970s & 1980s Smith & Wesson

I am not sure

Smith and Colt are still fighting for the upper hand. My guess is Smith.

I have no other brands of revolvers.

More S&Ws by far. They made more models than did Colt and since Colt pretty much got out of the handgun market over 20 years ago there's not much to buy.

Hey Saxon,

Do you have any idea how many guns you own?

(this is a good time to post a pic or two of your amazing collection)

I only own 4 revolvers,
Model 10 4in
GP 100 6in
Taurus 94 4in
Taurus 44 6in

Guns on my RADAR include, S&W Models 19,28 and 29, 4 inch barrels on the 19 and 28, I would buy one or the other. If the right deals fell into my lap I would buy both. 6 inch barrel on the 29.
If I can't find a .357 S&W I would buy a GP 100 4inch barrel just because I like them.
I would also like to own a matched pair of Uberti Hombre's SA in 357/38, If I run into a windfall I might upgrade Brand and Model choice.
I really don't have elaborate taste in revolvers but, Smith and Wesson's are my weakness.

Ruger at thirteen, four of which are customs.
Eight S&W's.
Six Uberti's.
Three USFA's.
Two Pietta's.
One Colt.

...Colt pretty much got out of the handgun market over 20 years ago there's not much to buy.
Spoken as if Colt was not producing the finest SAA they've made since WWII and a fine plethora of 1911's and pocket models. Not to mention reintroducing the New Frontier.

I have nothing against Ruger revolvers, but have moved to autoloaders nearly exclusively. I currently have a S&W 686+ 5" Pro ('cuz I think everyone should have a .357!), a S&W .38 Airweight snubbie, and a S&W .22LR snubbie (heavy little all-steel sucker!) that was purchased for my step-mother.

If I were to expand my revolver collection, I'd be looking for older Smiths and SA Rugers - and not for CCW. I don't think I'll be doing that, though - my interest in revolvers is minimal, and my funds limited. If I happen across an older Model 28 6" at a good price, I'd grab it for nostalgia - I have a bit of history with one.

I love S&W J and K frames, they are fine for carry and home defense. When I want to light off cannon shells my Ruger Blackhawk is awesome!

I have at least one from 7 different makers but Smith is #1 closely followed by Colt & Ruger.

currently 15 Rugers, 12 Smiths, 4 Colts, 3 Ubertis and 1 each DW, CA, USFA and BFR

Arkansas Paul,

Yeah I suppose that is true. I don't own a lot of guns, I just own nice guns.

I've got:

Freedom Arms M83 Premier Grade .454

Kimber Super Match II .45ACP

Kimber M82 Govt' .22lr wearing the issued apperture match sights

SIG Sauer P229 .357 SIG

Benelli MP95E .22lr

Cooper M52 Jackson Hunter .280AI wearing a Swarovski 3-10X42

Cooper M57 laminate in. 22lr wearing a Leupold 2.5-8X36

4 S&W
2 Ruger
2 NAA

At lease one more Ruger, two more Smiths, one more NAA, and a Charter on the list. Looks like S&W will stay on top. Although, I am looking to add a bike gun or similar chopped down (or to be chopped down) small iframe type 32 or 38SW pistol and I would be fine with Iver Johnson or some such as it doesn't have to be S&W.

Lessee, I think it's a tie....

3 Tauri
3 Rugers
3 NAAs
2 Rossis...Interarms
2 Piettas
1 Smith and Wesson
1 ASM

If I get a black powder NAA Earl as planned in the future, the tie will be broken. But, then, the way Cabelas keeps putting stuff on sale I can't resist, could be another Pietta in there, too.
