I think he could entertain us for a week with just pics of his S&W model 27s!

No doubt that I own more Colts. But S&W and Ruger revolvers are starting to catch up. Well... not really, but the more recent purchases tend to be dominated by S&W or Ruger products.

I own 2 Smiths & 2 Rugers.

One of them may move ahead in the near future.

I pulled up the gun spread sheet and while I am embarrassed by the meager number of guns which I own, Colt revolvers outnumber Smith revolvers by one.

Thought it was even but one of the 4 inch Diamondbacks have been at the gunsmith for months and was not on the list.

I have owned Colts, Rossis, Rugers, and a Taurus. They are all gone now.
Replaced by S&Ws, the only revolvers currently in my locker.

For many years it used to be Ruger (I wasn't all that keen on the QC of the S&W's in the 70's & 80's).

Nowadays the S&W's outnumber the Ruger's (something like 9 vs 6, if I remember correctly).

The last Colt I owned was more or less 'fired into submission' and finally traded off many years ago (I was an avid handloader back then ).

The triggers on my GP100 and my SP101 are rather nice. I wouldn't trade either of them for a Smith and Wesson. Maybe a Colt because I could sell it and buy 3 Rugers. I prefer reliability YMMV
