Anyone can get a semi auto to fail if they use poor ammo, poor quality magazines, improper hold on the pistol when shooting, add aftermarket accessories or modifications or just get unlucky and buy that one pistol that's came with manufacturing flaws.
Of the ones mentioned, my Beretta 92F and Taurus Pt92 have been the most trouble free pistols with never a gun induced failure of any kind. The only failures have been ammo related, ie damaged or improperly loaded handloads. I can also say the same thing about my Browning Hi Power.
My Glock 19 is very reliable but when first bought it had an issue directly from the factory where it would double fire with one trigger pull. Once it was corrected its worked flawlessly.
