Okay, there are so many different compensators out there that are the "best" and I don't have any experience with short AR15 barrels so I want to hear your opinions on what you guys have. I want to hear your opinion and experience.

I am going to get a 10.5" Spike's Upper and I want something to help with the muzzle blast, I am leaning towards the Levang Linear Compensator because of the price and small size but there are others out there I haven't considered because I just don't have much knowledge about Flash hider/ compensators. You never know the A2 could be the best... SOOOO LETS HEAR IT!!!:D

The best thing for muzzle blast is a suppressor, most compensators will act like a brake and make your gun louder, with a short barreled AR your going to have a stupid loud gun anyways. But I like the Miculek muzzle brake personally, I have it on 2 of my AR's plus if you have people that creep up next to you with this brake they keep their distance, sound and blast gets directed to the sides of the shooter.

You know you want a Noveske Flaming Pig! If not then I like the Smith's Vortex as it will kill all the flash, at least.

For short barrels, you want a Noveske Flaming Pig or a Levang. The other comps are going to make that thing too loud for comfort for the shooter, personally speaking.

I much prefer an Ops Inc 4th model for a short "compensator" that takes the edge off of short barrel AR's. It's like a Noveske Pig, but it works better. ;)

Many comps will make blast worse if anything. If you want to kill blast a suppressor is best. A short one like an ops in m4s or similar will take a lot of the edge off without adding much length. A Noveske KX3 might be the next best muzzle device for mitigating blast on a SBR. However, it does add size and weight.

Im kinda a fan of the BattleComp 2.0. Put one on. A clients gun and it worked great. Dunno about side blast though.

Funny stuff right there

The PWS acts as a break and flash hider but i've never run it on a SBR. To be honest though in a 16" the flash hide isn't very good, IME.

pws is selling the comp/FH/blast director that they use on their Mk107. If it works on a 7' barrel I bet it would work well on a 10.5 too. Worth taking a look.
