Gemtech Halo + SBR Help
Fell into a smoking deal on a new Halo. Ya know, the kinda deal you cant say no to. ($450 + stamp)
This will be my first dedicated 5.56 can. I currently have a 10.5" SBR AND A YHM .30 cal can that I use on my AR-15s. My SBR currently is wearing MOE handguards. I want to go with 10" DD LITE rail for that shrouded barrel look. Where all you see is suppressor sticking out.
Is there enough room with the 10.5" barrel, and 10" rail to remove and install the Halo? It mounts over and behind an A2 flash hider. You have to "cock" the locking nut 45ish degrees to get it on the barrel.
The suppressor locking nut will be about 1" behind the flash hider but the O.D. of the suppressor is smaller than the I.D. of the rail.
If this wont work, then what will? I am also considering the 10" Spikes BAR rail.
Any info or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
