Pretty difficult to argue with dies that are as good as any out there and are half th

As a matter of fact, Lee dies are almost 1/3rd the cost of Dillon dies.
I would venture to say that someone who would make this statement (in this post title) has not used Dillon dies??

I retired a little over a year ago after working 40 years as a GM Tech, and have bought my share of tools. Started with Stanley, Pro Craft, and most all of the "Value Leader" type of tools. For the last 20 or so years, I have owned mostly Snap-On,and Mac tools. It DOES make a difference to work with the best.

For ME--I have NEVER cussed myself for buying too good of tool. I have cussed myself for buying too CHEAP of a tool!!......Bill.:uhoh:

Ooooh kay, Bill. Got it. You like Dillon dies.

That's fine. They have some features that a few folks appreciate.

It would be disingenuous to say they make better ammo though, and that's really the bottom line to most folks.

Thanks Sam, for letting me Rant..HA HA...Bill.

Just to show there is more than one way to skin a cat I use RCBS 38/357 dies with Hornady lock rings.

I'm no expert but I haven't needed to crimp any of my .38spec rounds as of yet. Tested to see if bullets are moving in the case within the cylinder under firing and so far no movement. Neck tension alone is enough.

If your going to get dies, Get CARBIDE dies. If you go with Lee, Get the 4 die set in carbide.

Also get the dies that can also do .357 magnum. In case you ever get a.357 mag, You won't have to get a new set of dies. the .357 mag dies will also do .38 spcl.

But the .38 spcl WILL NOT do .357 mags.
I think you meant that the other way around.

Lee makes a set of 38/357 dies that will do both and they have a dedicated set of 357 dies that will not do .38 Specials.
