Which grips for a stainless 1911?

Alas, no wood for me...

I can't keep wood grips looking nice for the same reason I have to carry stainless or polymer guns: corrosive sweat. I had some nice Cocobolo grips on my last SA 1911, but after three months of frequent handling, they may as well have been made of old pine roofing shingles. Same with revolver grips.

+1 for the Ergo Grips. Very positive gripping surface (like skateboard tape molded into hard plastic) and impervious to harm...

Here is our New Nylon Wrap Around and they are cheap too!

Man...some of those Wicked Grips are very cool. My buddy is a big Punisher fan but it doesn't appear that those grips will work on his 1911 (Charles Daly polymer Government model). :(

Lately I've been diggin' the gnarly 5 dpi VZ's:

They're going straight from my xmas list and onto my Springer.

Those VZ's will give you more grip than you can imagine, but are hell on your side! Similar to the Gunner grips. The VZ Gators on my Colt above provide tremendous hold, but are gentle on the skin and clothes.

I got my latest 1911 this last October. I didn't like the
S & W rubber grips. I have the Guy Hogue Ebony w/palm
swell - best described as the top part of the grips is the
flat oval profile then a slight inward taper as it goes into a
profile more of the half round - I also have a set of smooth
rosewood grips for the next 1911 in blued steel but I think the
black Ebony grips will look and feel great on the SS 1911.

Hakan,

I'd like to see those on my blued Gold Cup National Match!!!!!!
How much do those run???? I mean, Christmas is right around the corner, and I could always justify it by saying the kids gave these to me.
(Seriously. . . I'm interested in the cost. Thanks.)

I'm also interested in some Goncalo Alves (smooth) for my Gold Cup.
