Using: Carrying vs. Shooting

1. I carry a Colt Commander just about every day.

2. When I go to the range, I usually shoot it a few rounds, but most of my actual shooting is done with an old (1948 vintage) Government Model, a High Power, or one of several revolvers.

Best,
Johnny

Got to be my USP-45. I use it for IDPA, IPSC, carry, bedside gun, practice, hunting and plinking. You can talk me out of my 1911s, Glocks, Beretta, CZ, revolvers or EAA Witness' but you ain't never going o get me to get rid of my USP!:neener:

My Kimber Gold Match gets a real workout at the range, but what I most often carry (CCW) is my SIG P-229. Right on their heels are my SIG P-225, Glock 22 and Walther P-99.

That's a tie between my 2 carry pieces: my SA Stainless Mil-Spec 1911, and my S&W Model 10. I tend to use my beater gun (model 10) more often, but when I go target shooting, I tend to shoot more out of my 1911. (as that's what I carry when I'm afraid the S might HTF) So it's kind of a close race there. The Buckmark gets a close third, but it's been acting up lately, so it's just all the past rounds that have gone through it that keep it in the running.

A 1911 by Colt..........

The one I shot and carried the most was a lightly modified LW Officer's I have had for well over a decade and carried just about everyday. I have a Ciener .22 conversion unit for it that goes to the range with me every time!
The Officer's has been replaced my a Colt Concealed Carry Officer's that I recently picked up and my Ciener fits it and seems to be a little more accurate) too. So it will become my most carried and shot pistol.
Been going to the range ALOT more lately...once every two weeks, cause I met a lady that loves to shoot. She burns through 200 rounds of Nine each trip with her Kahr PM9(Walmart's, 20 bucks). But the next gun on the ist is a Ruger .22/45 for her plinking pleasure(and mine).
Then, because she loves my Para LDA Companion and is interested in IDPA, we are looking a a Dillion Square B to lower the price of our favorite fun(while dressed!).

If by "use" you mean "shoot," then it's my FEG Hi Power. If you mean "use" as in "always standing ready for home duty," then my Browning MkIII beats it out.

Every day I use a S&W .45 model 4553. Its my every day carry piece. I shoot two Colt Diamondback revolvers, (a.22 and a .38), much more. I think I need to turn that around.

Glock 23C. I'm determined to make this thing feel like a natural extension of my body in very short order. My pistol skills are horrid by my own admission because of neglect but after going back to handguns and 3 days in a row at the range with the gun I managed to drop 5 rounds into a 3" hole at 7 yards in about 3 seconds. Getting more confident.

Another CZ'er here. I shoot my Kadet the most on top of 75B. I'm starting to shoot it on a PCR more often too. I don't anticipate bringing it to the range as often in the near future, as I'm trying to improve on my 1911 shooting.

My choice for most used

Ruger KMK512.
I target shoot a lot in a National Forrest in Colorado. This target pistol is cheap on ammunition and easier on the forrest. Does not attract a lot of attention like bigger calibers will.
At the range I use the 22 and my Smith and Wesson 8in 357 the most
Might soon change to my newest firearm....a Colt 45, Combat Elite.

Although I Prefer the 1911 or K frame

Well I have to attend classes...park off campus...and my "travels"...

I use my "niche" gun - Keltec P-11. So this semester I CCW and shoot this one as often as can. I subscribe to shooting the carry gun as much as can.

1911 and K Frame are CCW-d and shot - some...More CCW and rd count with the KT.

Glock 20-10mm. Just plain fun. Accurate, moderate recoil, satisfying level of power. I have a Python that's more accurate, but I just can't get enough of that 10mm.

Currently use a Kel-Tec .380 the most. Concealed carry it every day. It is not what I shoot the most. That would be my S&W 686 Plus 4".
