Re: "Best .380"

Buy what feels good to you. And spend as much as you can justify. Back in 1981, when I wanted a "pocket" .380, it had to be the Walther PPK/S. It's a great little shooter, fits in the strong-side front pocket with ease, safe to carry with one in the pipe. It was my little companion for a very long time, and I still have fond memories of the happiness which went along with my warm gun. Ahhhhh. John Lennon was right when he said it. "Happiness is a warm Walther PPK/S in .380, loaded with hollow points, snug in your pocket on a dark night."

That Kahr is going to be one awsome 380. It is smaller than the Ruyger and Kt even and stillcomes in undcer 10 ounces and it is just a scaled dwon (exact) model ofthe PM9 which Ihave and have over 9800 flawless rounds through it. It won't be priced in the same league as the Ruger but it eaks in quality and everything else. Poygonal rifled barrel, stainless slide, striker fired system, kahr famous smooth trigger system, dovetailed sites (nite sites willbe available), two magazines, tight fit like all kahrs and over all finish is spectacular. the Kahr people tell me look for it in June. If it acts like my PM9 it will definitely be owned by me. Had 2 other small 380 (won't mention names) but they were just of poor quality and totally unreliable.

By the way my friend ahs one of the new Ruger lcp and has 1300 flawless rounds through it. Looks to me like Ruger did thier homework on the lcp and it is extremely reliable and priced suyper low to..

Please, for the love of all that is good, stop now! You're leading me to consider even more caliber creep, at a time when that is not something my wallet can even contemplate. This thread has had some great pics, and that's not exactly helping either.
