Anything Nordberg used in The Naked Gun. From pistols to AAA.

I wanted to get a gun and blow my head off during the new Indiana Jones movie.:barf:

Just kidding, of course! Not about the movie being bad, about the other part.

Nobody mentioned Red Dawn yet?

"Quigley Down Under" sold me on the rolling block:evil: and Chuck Connors sold me on the lever action (and secondary advantage to a Marlin in 44mag--I am figuring that it will be easier to defend in Cali courts:fire::banghead: (plus 44 mag should be an effective stopper))

.

The Alamo.

Seriously, when I was a kid, I thought, if you could go back in time with the right gun, you could save Davy Crockett. I wanted to so bad.

There's even some books about going back in time and changing history.

Dirty Harry

was the movie that made me fall in love with s&w n frame magnums.. it was quite a few years later before i got my 6" s&w model 27.... but i love it! then in a later DIRTY HARRY movie i fell for the automag but i'll never own one of those:fire:............

I am with usmarine0352_2005

I always wanted the minigun from Predator. Than puppy was bad to the bone and then some.

Day of the Jackal - the original. The custom bolt action in .22 WMR that was hidden in the assassin's crutches.

Serpico - the Scene where Serpico sees an undercover cop's concealed gun, yells gun, and then pulls his HiPower. I had not bought my first gun yet and the idea of 14 rounds was a surprise.

My father was an AIT instructor. I have pictures with me holding real and toy guns from about the time I could walk. I think I was pretty much set, with or without the media!

Big Influences in Terms of the "Right" Way to Carry or Handle a Gun:

Sgt. Saunders (Vic Morrow) on Combat! Lt. Hanley (Rick Jason) also played a role. Both were crack shots who took proper care of their Thompson and carbine, respectively.

Paladin (Richard Boone) on Have Gun - Will Travel. I still want an SAA with a trigger pull that is measured in ounces. Paladin only pulled a gun when he intended to kill.

John Steed (Patrick MacNee) on The Avengers. Steed NEVER carried a gun, but he was not adverse to taking them away from people and shooting up the joint as needed.

In looking back, my relatives and television influenced me a lot more than movies. I guess I am also really old....

Bowling for Columbine made me want to get lots and lots of guns.

Yep.

I bought another AK, another Hi-Power, and two more 1911's... and a lot more mags and ammo because of that movie.

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade. Made me Want a Webley Mark IV.....still do. ;)

Not long after I saw "48 Hours", I went out and bought a used 4" S&W Model 29-2, in the case. I got it for next to nothing, which was usually the case with 4" .44 magnums in those days.

John Steed (Patrick MacNee) on The Avengers.

Didn't every show start off with Mrs. Peel (Diana Rigg) posing with a revolver? Definately an inducement to me.

There was a scene in "The Killer Elite" where a character was shooting clays by the Golden Gate bridge. At the time, I thought that was just so cool.
