Which new handgun?

If I really wanted to conceal a .357 magnum, I'd probably go with a 3" SP101 rather than a 3" GP100, but I would still rather have the Glock 19 tucked in my belt than either revolver. YMMV.
My millage does vary. I just don't like Glocks and I'm not fond of semi-autos. If you would have said a J frame I would agree but there's very little difference between the weight of the SP101 and the GP100. If you're going to carry a revolver as heavy as the SP101 you might as well carry the GP100 and get an extra round.

Let's see....

A handgun that carries six rounds of .357 magnum, that weighs 40 oz.

vs

A handgun that carries 15 rounds of 9mm+P, that weighs 30 oz. fully loaded.

Go for the Glock.
If you can't solve your problem with 6 rounds of .357 Magnum I doubt more rounds will help, especially if you spray and pray. BTW, the 3" GP100 only weights 36oz, not 40oz.

BUT, if the OP didn't specifically ask about a GP100 I would have recommended a 2 3/4" Service-six series revolver instead. It's more like a snub nose K frame which would be my choice over the Ruger.

I love my Glock 19 but six rounds of full-house .357 magnum is a force to be reckoned with. In fact I have been looking for a four inch GP-100 in stainless for quite some time.

Well I just picked up a LNIB Ruger P95 the other day. Not the gun I was looking for but I got it for a great price not considering all the craziness going on right now. It is a bit bulky and not really the ideal ccw gun, but it actually carries very well and seeing as its mostly a range gun I can live with it. Fits my hand great. Actually carried it all day today while we were hunting did a lot of walking and it carried really good. Picked up a holster and have some 17 round mags in the mail. Haven't got to shoot it yet but I managed to find ONE box of ammo thankfully so I'll probably stop Friday and shoot it a little. If it's not too freezing out. Heard nothing but great things about them for a $300 gun. They're cheap but I like it and Ruger makes great guns. Still have about enough saved to buy a nice revolver so I think ill do that one of these days too.

LOL-That's how it works sometimes. The P95 is a pretty good gun, especially for the $. I concealed one for several months w/o issue. I think you'll be satisfied @the range.
