Which of these 2 Barrels Shoul I Buy?

Im looking for a 1911 5 inch barrel to have as a backup. I have found one made by Iver Johnson. And another one just saids Mil-Spec. Can someone tell me which would be the best one to get? Thank you much.

I don't have much 1911 knowledge but I can guess what questions will be asked. Is this online and if so do you have a link? You'd be surprised how fast these guys can identify parts once they see a picture. Otherwise what do the retailer shop employees think/can you find out the brand of the Mil-Spec?

Neither one would be my first choice.

A genuine GI 1911 barrel will not have any writing on it like that.

The Iver Johnson barrel is most likely made in the Philippines by indignant labor.

The Mil-Spec marked one is anyones guess!
A real Mil-Spec barrel doesn't say Mil-Spec on it!

What brand of gun do you have?

Why do you need a back-up barrel?

Do not buy either. There are so many good quality barrels out there why buy a no name of the Iver Johnson junk.
