I just use the one that came with the Rockchucker Supreme kit. It doesn't work great, but it sure does shoot great. For 150 grain bullets out of a .30-06 or .308 either one, it's hard to beat. That is the one drawback though. I think I'm going to make myself a dipper that dips about a half grain short, then I'll trickle up to my desired load. That should fix it.
My uniflow eats varget for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No weighing of individual charges.
the trick is to operate the handle with some athority so granule cutting does not impede the motion. If you try to be limpwristed and gentle you'll have nothing but problems.
Mostly I use my PACT electronic scale & auto dispenser, but for the times when I don't want to bother going through it's calibration routine, my Forster "Bench rest" measure loves the stuff. Very rarely have a granule shear problem and even then it seems to always throw the right charge.
I always set the measure for a couple tenths under and trickle up to the right charge anyway so if it did throw a bad one the scale will catch it.
Get a Lee perfect powder measure, the're inexpensive and they dispense stick powders well, no cutting crunching, like with a RCBS Uniflow. I have both and use the Uniflow on ball and flake and some of the short cut stick powders.
I've had very good results with my Uniflow and almost all powders except 800X. Like someone said it is like measuring cornflakes. Quick consistent handle movements.
I have had absolutely no problems with Varget in my Dillon or RCBS Uniflow powder measures. I have an older Redding BR powder measure, but haven't trie it with Varget yet but would be surprised if the Redding measure wouldn't work just as well.
